We were seeing double at this Saturday’s jam! We had two drummers, two bassists, musicians playing two instruments, two songs blended into one, and even and two Tool shirts! How do we manage it all? When we have multiple musicians of the same instrument (for example, two drummers or 8 guitarists) they take turns or switch to another instrument or vocals, so everyone gets a chance to jam. Every song has a leader and by following the lead, the tragic becomes magic, and mashups can occur like this one between Pink Floyd’s Breathe and Bill Withers’ Use Me.
