It’s been a long while since we at GroMusic have felt the Jam sessions were finally back in full swing. 2020 took a toll on everyone, including the ability to gather and share the commonalities that interconnect us and make us who we are. Nevertheless, we found all sorts of creative ways to stay connected and share our love of music.
Even though we took a short hiatus in 2020 and completely stopped our advertising, the GroMusic community was still alive. We truly worried if we would ever be able to host Jam sessions the same way again. So we just played it safe, limited our advertising, Jam session attendance and spacing, and did as much as we could to protect those who wanted to Jam.
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder – we really missed meeting the amazing musicians who would pop out of the woodwork to come to a Jam session. We’re glad to know you still need a place to let loose and jam! David and I have continued these Jam sessions for the last 12 years not only because we love playing music, but because we continuously learn about the many reasons why people come. After almost a year of debating, we decided it was about time to start opening the Jam doors to the pubic again.
That was a good decision – after just a few months, we’re right back where we left off! Take a listen for yourself!
