We’re really grateful to those who came out to the 8/14/21 Jam Session (#278)! It’s the Jams when we have a small group in attendance which really amaze us. Everyone seems to have as much fun as when there are 20 people in the room, and the energy is just as high.
We played a few of the Jam favorites and even few new tunes too (in memory of Dusty Hill from ZZ Top, R.I.P.). Everyone definitely got a lot of playing and solo time at this Jam! Overall, the night was a success and we accomplished exactly what we came to do – to play music with other people!
Take a listen for yourself below…
(Note from Dom: If you’ve never been to a jam session before because you’re a beginner and don’t think you’re good enough, or maybe have some reservations about playing in front, or with, other people, this is the Jam session for you! One of the attendees from a recent Jam said it perfectly. He said this was the perfect place to come for any skill level, especially beginners, because it’s a great place to learn from others, get some nerves out, fall down on your face, and get picked right up again by those playing with you. It’s a respectful, inviting, and creative atmosphere for anyone who wants to just play music and get better. That’s what GroMusic is really all about. We aim to support the musicians out there who want to improve or learn new things, and we want to provide an open door for those who would like to explore the world of music but might not have a way of getting there. For us, the Jam sessions are just the beginning, and we hope you’ll come down to a Jam session soon!)
